PC300G Head to Australind

Today the Perth Chrysler 300 Group headed to the Ignition South West Show and Shine event, the group caught up at the BP South Bound around 7am (yea I know, way too early) allowing us to grab a coffee and breakfast before departing around 7:30am for the cruise south. After hitting the freeway we found the open road at this hour was nice and clear run hassle free and to once again see the 300’s all lined up was great.

We were a bit early in our schedule and as such we pull in to the Cattlemen’s Rest stop and parked up for a bit of a stretch and chat before departing once again for Australind, upon the arrival I was a bit concerned as the oval we were on last years seemed to be empty and had me thinking what day was it “lol” the event was being held on the other oval so we continued across the grass through more gates and on to the parking area.

Once we settle in a number of us commenced the walk around to check out the vehicles on display and boy was there a few, it was estimated around 300 plus had come through to show their metal beauties. The day was a tad warm and hats, umbrellas and sun screen were the go. We had a chance to catch up with Troy who was visiting the area before heading off to get ready for work but it was so good to catch up and see how well he looks these days. Around lunch time we headed up to the upstairs open restaurant where we had a fantastic and well priced meal before heading back to the cars.

All in all this was another well organised event and caters for all sorts including a kids zone once again this year. Next year however I’m hoping to arrange a shade area so we’re not in the open heat for the day. Huge thanks to all who attended, appreciate the support and look forward to our next event.
